Anniversary Clear Remix Models Exclusively Available Here

among the First in the World to Check Out the Exclusive 40th Anniversary Clear
Remix Model Series, Available Only at This Store.
Singapore, 7 July 2023 — CASIO brings a slice of timekeeping toughness to Jewel Changi with the launch of the new Jewel G-SHOCK store.
Marking the auspicious 40th anniversary of the G-SHOCK series, the opening of the new store adds to the array of launches and events held throughout the year, celebrating this significant milestone.
Tradition Meets Toughness
At the heart of the store, visitors will be enthralled by a captivating
mural meticulously crafted by the esteemed artist, Mister Tucks. The mural
showcases the timeless allure of the legendary dragon, deeply rooted in the
cultural tapestries of China and Japan. Revered as a guardian of humanity, this
majestic creature embodies the essence of power and strength. Inspired by the
sleek metal band adorning the Casio Full Metal GMW-B5000D-1 watch, the dragon's
scales have undergone a striking transformation. Now adorned with an iridescent
armour forged from resilient and durable metal, the dragon radiates an aura of
invincibility. With its enhanced body armour, the majestic creature soars
fearlessly through the boundless expanse of space, symbolising the spirit of
progress and venturing into uncharted territories.
The mural is a visual embodiment of CASIO’s brand of always-evolving timekeeping, bolstered by the toughness of G-SHOCK, yet rooted in tradition.
An exclusively designed paper bag by Tucks will also be available with purchase of any watch at the Jewel G-SHOCK store, while stocks last.
Worldwide Exclusive First Launch of G-SHOCK’s 40th Anniversary Clear Remix
CASIO also unveiled the new additions to its line of shock-resistant G-SHOCK watches designed to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the G-SHOCK brand.
Seven 40th Anniversary Clear Remix models see an exclusive worldwide launch and sale in this Jewel G-SHOCK store, made available for purchase for the first time on 7 July 2023.
The 40th anniversary Clear Remix shock-resistant watches make use of see-through materials for designs that offer a view of the watches’ internal componentry. They embody the G-SHOCK spirit of challenge in designs that offer a view of the internal componentry, including the module and circuit board. Seven popular G-SHOCK models, including the very first G-SHOCK with its iconic design, have been carefully selected and redesigned with see-through materials used for the case, band, LCD, buttons, and other elements provide a behind-the-scenes view of the module substrate printed with the G mark and G-SHOCK logo. The case back features the Eric Haze-designed 40th logo, and the band loop is engraved with four stars in a nod to this special anniversary.
Evolution of G-SHOCK: Defying Conventional Wisdom to Become a Global Icon
The G-SHOCK project began
with the idea of developing “a tough watch that wouldn’t break, even if
dropped,” a concept that overturned the conventional wisdom of the time. In a
process of repeated testing, the construction and materials were redesigned
again and again. This tireless pursuit in the face of challenges bore fruit in
1983 with the debut of the G-SHOCK. Casio has since released an array of
different G-SHOCK watches that carry on this evolution in function and design.
Today, the G-SHOCK brand is loved around the world, with more than 140 million
units shipped to date.
CASIO G-SHOCK CLEAR REMIX 40th Anniversary Models

ABOUT ARTIST, TUCK WAI
Tuck Wai,
a.k.a. Tucks, is a graphic artist based in Singapore. His work revolves around
the theme of skateboarding, earning him fans who enjoy his series of
@Templeofskate paintings and illustrations on social media. He has established
collaborations with renowned brands such as Vans, Real Skateboards, Element

inspiration in the tranquil aesthetics of Japanese art and the playful madness
of lowbrow art, which propels him to create paintings that seamlessly fuse
these Eastern and Western influences. Among his preferred subjects for painting
are skull monks riding skateboards, bonsai trees, and legendary creatures from
Asian folklore. He finds artistic influence in the works of esteemed
visionaries like Jim Phillips, Hokusai, and Usugrow.
Although
Tuck Wai's favoured medium is sumi ink on rice paper, he embraces a spirit of
exploration and experimentation, continuously seeking new horizons by delving
into painting with different mediums. This relentless pursuit allows him to infuse
freshness and enjoyment into his artistic endeavours.
Tucks has
been an avid wearer of G-shock watches since his days studying design in
Polytechnic. Back in the 90s, he won his very first G-shock timepiece by
participating in a music video dedication contest in a popular local television
show called Vidz.
